Matcha-cashew butter is a healthy and beautiful snack for e.g. to spread on bread and fruit or add to smoothies and oatmeal. You only need 2 ingredients - but a lot of patience.
- 50g cashews
- 2 tsp. Matcha
HERE'S HOW YOU DO IT:
- Add cashew nuts in a food processor and blend for approx. 5 minutes. Be sure to continuously scrape cashew residues down from the sides. Be patient. First, the cashews will turn into fine "cashew dust", after which they will release their natural oils. After approx. 5 minutes it will turn into a creamy mass.
- Add 2 tsp. Matcha and continue with the food processor until everything is well mixed. The matcha-cashew butter can keep in the fridge for approx. 1 month.
- Use e.g. the butter on sourdough bread like me, where I have added banana slices, coconut flakes and tahini or strawberry slices, blueberries and a little dried raspberry.
You can also put the butter on slices of fruit such as apple or banana for a delicious and quick snack. I also add the butter to my smoothies or stir it into my oatmeal in the morning.
